ABOUT US

Hydraterm AB was founded based on research conducted on the thermal imaging measurement concept at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden AB and Linné University in Växjö. The measurement concept is based on a method patented by RISE AB and takes into account several factors, including the wood temperature, air temperature and humidity to predict the average moisture content of the lumber.

The original idea was conceived in 2012, tested at laboratory scale, and eventually at an industrial scale. Data for prediction models are gathered at the laboratory scale and then transferred to the sawmill.
